Kong Ying states-
I am a native of Tai Po Chung in the San On district. I have been resident in Yaumati 29 years. I am 44 years of age. I was employed there as a coolie and also as a police informer. I first entered the service of Ng Lo Sam at the taking over of the New Territory. I went with him the day that there was fighting at Tai Po. In the 8th moon I was employed by Ng Lo Sam to trace out refugee rebels here in Hong Kong. On the 19th of the Intercalary 8th moon a party of officials came down from Canton to consult about the murder of Yeung Kui Wan. Ng Lo Sam first spoke to me about killing Yeung Kui Wan on the 12th day of the Intercalary 8th moon. It was at his house in Wo Fung Street. No one else was present. He said "Yeung Kui Wan cannot be fetched to Canton. Can you find a man to murder him?". I said I could not find a man. He said "All right, I will go up with you to Canton and I will get Ma Wong Hoi's party". On the 13th we went up. He went by Hoi Tong and I by the Po On. He took me with him as he wanted me to take part in it. He wanted me to pilot the party in Hong Kong. On the 19th we came back by the night boat and arrived here on the morning of the 20th day. About the 28th of the 9th moon Ma Wong Hoi, Ma Wong On, Chan Yu, Wong Ting San, Chan Sing and two others came down to Hong Kong. The whole of Ma Wong Hoi's party went to the Yan On boarding house. I went to Sai Wo Lane where I lived at the time. On different occasions at Ng Lo Sam's house, at the Ching Wa Shu She club we discussed the murder of Yeung Kui Wan. Ng Lo Sam was present. I have heard Ng Lo Sam say "If I cannot truck him to Canton there is a newspaper office which he frequents - the Chung Kwok Po. Get someone to follow him and shoot him either in his way from his house to the newspaper office or at the newspaper office or at his own house". He told us that the street where the newspaper office was was not
